From the minor: Create a High-end Video Game at the HAN
I learned to create my own game concept, create game artworks, create game sounds, create a story, work with a
big team on a game project and so much more!
Game art classes:
During the classes of art I learned how to create artworks for video games, 3D model them and make sound.
Something cool I found was to make a texture using paint.
On the island different objects are made and the lighttower is made modular where I send my model to someone else to build something.
Game design classes:
During the design classes I learned how games work and are created. From creating a concept to have the core mechanics written out.
Outside of the shown work, I also worked withing a team called the Bingo Boys on Unity where I did mostly the art and textures and contribute to the concepts.
Most of my work for these classes revolve around my concept "Rogue of Darkness"
Game Project:
The game project took one half of the whole minor. It was a big project where we worked with different teams on one of the concepts who were created.
The concept of Gini Langenhuijzen "The Crazy Croc" was chosen and I was in the art team as environment artist
I did research on what an environment artist is, researched theme's for the zoo, created most notebally all the enclosures and background buildings and out of own interest did some programming for a procedural bridge in C#.
In the end I worked hard on a video game and could finish the minor with a 10 for the game project.
